I received a tip...
on a horse from a pizza customer this past week. I guess that this patron misunderstood the context of a tip when I brought the delivery, as I had her sign her credit card receipt slip. As she put the pen to the paper, she said that she's putting the tip on there.
Without even looking at the "tip amount," I secured the receipt in a locker after returning from the delivery. It wasn't until I sat down with the manager at the end of the shift to count the take, and he noticed that there was a message written on the slip, which clearly indicated her Kentucky Derby pick. I don't remember the name of the horse now, but I do know that it didn't even place. Needless to say, I didn't play the Derby.
